Job Description

The Children’s Outcomes Management Center is a University based multidisciplinary program designed to assist children’s behavioral health programs and clinicians in the collection, assessment, evaluation, and reporting of essential clinical and administrative outcomes. The Children’s Outcome Management Center is looking for a highly talented web developer with proven experience in the following technologies and concepts:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with 1) the full lifecycle product development; 2) object oriented development and architectural concepts; 3) Web Services in a Microsoft server environment; 3) the development of complex web-driven technologies and applications; 4) user interface development; 5) rapid design, development, testing and deployment of critical features.
 
Significant experience (6-7 years) with the .NET framework, and significant experience (8-10) in web application development is preferred. Communicating and collaborating with clients, project managers and staff is preferred. Importantly, this individual must be able to receive project requirements from non-technically trained individuals and have the expertise to implement these designs. The position also entails attendance at technical meetings for requirements, prototyping and problem solving. A successful candidate must be able to handle complex programming and testing tasks, as well as leading themselves through the project and performing validation and quality control checks.
 
Experience and understanding of standards, including CSS, HTML, and XML is preferred. Knowledge of coding and debugging JavaScript/ECMAScript is preferred. Experience with AJAX and the jQuery library is a must.   Familiarity with a CMS (content management systems) such as DotNetNuke is a plus. Knowledge of the concepts around MVC concepts is helpful.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work as key member of  a team that extends, designs, develops, and deploys state-of-the-art Web outcome management solutions for children receiving mental health services;
  • Develop, document, design and modify web applications;
  • Assist in the overall quality monitoring of network configuration and programming;
  • Provide programming expertise to less experienced staff;
  • Serve as a technology lead and subject matter expert for complex, costly or sensitive projects that could significantly impact program systems;
  • Provide system flow diagrams, object relational models, and documentation for system objects;
  • Develop high-performance solutions for outcomes management and reporting;
  • Establish, maintain, and manage data integrity
 
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years appropriate education, creative talents, strong desire to learn and work on web projects, some web programming experience desirable. (UMB minimum qualification)
  • Over six years of experience developing web applications in the Microsoft .NET framework is preferred
  • Eight to ten years of significant experience in web application development, regardless of platform or technology is preferred.
  • An advanced experience (3-5) years with Microsoft ASP.NET and VB.NET is highly desirable.
  • Two-to-three years experience with JavaScript and AJAX is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of outcomes management or mental health service delivery a plus.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and client interaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
