Our client, a nationally acclaimed interdisciplinary research center in Mississippi seeks a Software Project Manager to facilitate an agile software development process by coordinating software developer activities to ensure that tasks are complete according to the project work plan and changing customer requirements. You will develop documentation, software work plans, and keep documentation up to date. You will participate in internal and external project communication. You will coordinate deployment process for development, quality assurance testing, and user-acceptance testing environments. Though driven for project success, you will have the proven ability to maintain great relationships with your team members and colleagues. You will have the ability to run projects where customer requirements may be somewhat fluid, and-or less defined. You will proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Required: Bachelor’s degree. A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The temperament to handle external imposed deadlines set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions; conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress.
Pluses: MBA/MS. Certified Scrum Master. Atlassian Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible. GIT - SVN code repositories. The creation of wireframes using Lucid Chart or Balsamiq. Enterprise level Java applications. Knowledge of database principles, basic SQL, and data architecture.
