Our global Fortune 500 corporation is looking for a Mobile App Manager  to plan, manage, develop and implement appealing mobile applications which support the company’s communications goals and activities for external and internal users across the world.

The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of mobile/web content creation and management experience, a keen understanding of layout aesthetics and has a solid grasp of front-end programming and web scripting. A keen understanding of the entire mobile/web development process, including design, development and deployment is important. The Mobile App Manager combines user interface know-how and content creation experience with CSS, HTML and JavaScript practical knowledge to create compelling mobile experiences for users.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Create and manage user-friendly and appealing mobile-based applications
  • Manage application design, content, users and functionalities of the integrated mobile content management system (CMS)
  • Create compelling mobile content and features based on new and existing web and intranet content
  • Manage the build-outs and deployments of new mobile apps
  • Provide mobile app maintenance and enhancements
  • Use a combination of web markup languages to create compelling mobile content
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications as well as end-user guides
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines
  • Design and implement user-centered content, templates and interfaces
  • Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent with company brand standards across all browsers and platforms
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Promote usability best practices
  • Integrate various web properties and platforms into mobile applications
  • Quality assurance testing of websites and applications, engaging users as necessary
  • Assist with user testing: A/B, multivariate for interfaces and content
  • Provide consultative support to project manager(s) and/ or business stakeholder(s)
  • Meet project expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality
  • Collaborate and support overall project timelines
  • Possess a positive attitude and high standards for creative execution
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies, mobile platforms and development frameworks
Required Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/web development, graphic design, writing or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of varied Content Management System (CMS) experience
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of responsive design and frameworks
  • Excellent understanding of mobile/web user accounts and user management
  • Experience with image authoring tools: in order to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of mobile platforms and screen size differences
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform problem analysis 
  • Proven ability to resolve performance and design issues
  • Experience in collection and interpretation of end-user and business-user requirements
Bonus Qualifications/Experience:
  • Prior experience with MODO Labs, mobile platform (a huge plus)
  • Multi-lingual Content management
  • XML and RSS
  • APIs and web services
  • Graphic Design experience
